With a flowing creek that offers colder temperatures than nearby lakes and ponds, visitors can enjoy a refreshing dip. Spanning across 70 acres of forest, this nature area stretches from the edges of Fayette and Coweta counties and features a 3-mile trail. At the start of the trail, there is a picnic area with a gazebo and a small fishing pond as well as a dock. It’s not uncommon to see people kayaking down the creek or fishing off the dock. After it rains, the rapids move faster, so visitors should take extra caution when swimming, wading, or kayaking.
